L. Austin Cramer, age 92 of Lancaster, formerly of Rockbridge, passed away on June 15, 2024 at the Pickering House.
He was born on March 31, 1932, in Newark to the late William A. and Mary Iva (Skinner) Cramer. He was a 1950 graduate of Rockbridge High School.
Austin was a member of the Logan Masonic Lodge #171, F&Am Scottish Rite Valley, Aladdin Shrine Temple of Columbus, Oh. He was the past president of Rockbridge Alumni Assoc., a 1995 retiree of Columbia Gas Trans. Of Sugar Grove. A retiree of Good Hope Twp. Trustees of Hocking Co. He was a member of Mt. Olive U.M. Church of Gibisonville, also Rockbridge, U.M. Church.
He is survived by his sons, Dennis (A. (Teresa) Cramer, Paul (Mary Ann) Cramer, and Jody (Tami) Cramer; daughters, Susan (Bill) Campbell, Laura Brickles, Cindy (Larry) Mathias, Lisa (Kenny) Tolliver, Tina (Darin) Marshall; 17 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren and many great-great-great grandchildren, four step-daughters, 5 step grandchildren, and 4 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Michael, his first wife Emma Jane (McVey) Cramer; second wife, F. Ruth (Lott) Deible Moore Cramer; and son -in -law, Duane Brickles.
Caring Cremation ™ has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home in Lancaster. Burial of his cremains will take place at a later date at Fairview Cemetery.
