L. Jane Clum

L. JANE CLUM age 91, formerly of Thurston died Thursday January 3, 2013 at the LanFair Center. She was a life member of the Thurston United Methodist Church; a member of the Parthenia Chapter #124 Order of Eastern Star and the Tarhe Ladies Shrine. She was a 1939 graduate of the Thurston High School where she played basketball; later she attended the Columbus Business College. She also owned and operated the former Beauty Hideaway in Thurston and Lancaster; and operated the Lunch Bunch and was a clerk at the Mike Clum Auction Gallery.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Bob Rosier, Lancaster; and her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Kathy Clum, Rushville; granddaughter and husband, Laura A. and Larry Watson, Rushville and grandson and wife, John M. and Jodi Clum, Alexandria; great grandchildren, Bryan M. Watson, Chase A. Watson, Courtany Blevins and Emma G. Clum; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Dale Landis, Pleasantville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, William M. and Miriam Clum , Montgomery, MI. and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years John E. Clum in 2011 and her parents, Don and Floe Wolfe.

Funeral service will be held Monday January 7, 2013 at 10:30 am at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, BALTIMORE with Rev. Dr. Rebeka Maples officiating. Burial will follow in Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore. Memorials may be given to the Thurston United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 64, Thurston, OH 43157 in Jane’s memory.
