Kenny D. Campbell

Kenny D. Campbell, a resilient survivor of life's greatest challenges, passed away on June 23, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of courage and kindness that will be cherished by all who  knew him. Born on November 11, 1963, Kenny faced adversity head-on throughout his life. He braved a class 5 tornado while at work, miraculously surviving the ordeal and later sharing his harrowing experience with the world. His bravery and resilience in the face of danger inspired many.

Kenny was a proud graduate of Yukon High School and a veteran of the Persian Gulf War, where he served his country with honor and received numerous accolades for his service.

Known for his exuberant personality, Kenny was a man with a big heart and an unwavering commitment to helping others. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear to those in need. His loud voice and gregarious nature meant he never met a stranger; everyone he encountered was greeted with warmth and kindness.

In his free time, Kenny indulged in his passions, whether it was cheering on the University of Oklahoma or collecting memorabilia from his favorite brands like M&M's and Coca-Cola and his unordinary amount of shoes. He had a special love for hot rods and often reminisced about his prized 1967 Chevelle.

Kenny's love for nature took him to breathtaking destinations like Niagara Falls and bat caves in Oklahoma - places where he felt truly connected to the world around him.

Kenny's passing leaves a void in the hearts of many but also leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured. He is preceded in death by his daughter Kimberlea, father Don Campbell, and mother-in-law Paula Krumm.

He is survived by his devoted wife Tracy Krumm Campbell, beloved mother Barbara Campbell, stepchildren Ashley Young and Sean (Emilee) Young, grandchildren Connor, Aubree, Canaan, Isaac, Ellie, and Maxley. He is also survived by his sister Tammy (Sarah Wilson) Campbell, nephew Nicholas (Victoria) Campbell along with great nephews and nieces. His father-in-law Daniel Krumm as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins mourn his loss.

The visitation to celebrate Kenny's life will be held on June 27th, 2024 at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home 405 N Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130 starting from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday.

Kenny D. Campbell touched the lives of many with his enduring spirit and will be remembered for his boundless generosity and larger-than-life personality. May he rest in peace knowing he made a profound impact on all who knew him.
