Kenneth D. Ruff

Kenneth D. Ruff, 79, of Lancaster, passed away on May 6, 2023 at the Pickering House surrounded by his family.

Ken was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather, and Brother. He served in the United States Air Force. His life was his beloved family, love of good food and canine buddies, Thea and Gus.

He is survived by his children, Darrell (Debi) Ruff, Pam (Ed) Highley, Edd (Pam) Ruff and Shelley (Brian) Carr; grandchildren, Joshua (Bridgette) Ruff, Jeremiah (Lauren) Ruff, Josiah (Alison) Ruff, Kendra Carlisle, Kayla (Aaron) Kidwell, Dylan Ruff, Delaney Ruff, Mackenzie Carr and Michael Carr; great-grandchildren, Josephine Ruff, Bella Ruff, Mariah Gardner, Marhari Gardner, Amarhi Gilbert, Parker Kidwell, Emanuel Ruff, Abigail Ruff, Jon Riley Ruff, Cora Ruff, Scarlett Ruff and Penelope Ruff; sister, Pat (Don) Cooperrider; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marv and Maggie Wilson; and niece, Jackie (Blaine) Kaffenberger.

Ken is preceded in death by his loving wife, Gwyn D. Ruff; parents, Victor and Winona Ruff; and mother-in-law, Thelma Smeck.

A funeral service will take place at 10 AM on Friday, May 12, 2023 in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery, Lancaster. Family and friends may visit from 5-8 PM at the funeral home on Thursday.
