Kenneth E Davis, born November 14, 1933, Scottown, Ohio. Born to Amos and Esther (Pitts) Davis. Resided in Baltimore, Ohio for over 50 years. Kenneth went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, November 30, 2017.

Upon graduating from high school Kenneth entered the US Air Force. He was stationed in Japan at the end of the Korean War and also helped in the logistics of flights, cargo and crews for the Berlin Airlift. After his enlistment, Kenneth moved back to central Ohio and began working for The Chessie System (CSX) railroad, retiring after 25 years of faithful service. During his time with CSX, he held the office of vice president/president for his local union for several terms. Kenneth also drove school bus for the Pickerington Local School District in the 1970's. He was an active member of New Beginnings Baptist church for many years. He also was an active member of the Baltimore VFW Post and held the position of Chaplin for 20 years. A role he truly cherished and was honored to have held.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Esther, his brothers Donald, John, Jim, and sisters Beulah Mae and Eloise. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Loretta (Chaffin). His children that he dearly loved, Kenneth Andrew (Tracy), Kimberly, Renee (Terry), and Mike (Robin). His nine beautiful granddaughters, Elizabeth, Amelia, Rebecca, Brittney, Michelle, Julie, Jessica, Jamie and Jennifer, as well as eleven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother Carl, sisters Alma, Nellie and Doris, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth had a great love for his country and veterans, he demonstrated this love by serving his community as a member of the VFW. One of his other great loves in life was working in his garden, he tried his hand at many different plants over the years, a green thumb extraordinaire. Above all he had a faith that sustained him through life. Even in his illness, he would share his love of Jesus and could be seen many times praying with residents of his nursing home and sharing the gospel.

Homecoming service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Pastor Mark Fennell officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Monday from 5-8 p.m. and 1 hour prior the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
