Kenneth LeRoy Brotherton, 76, of Millersport, died at Mt. Carmel East Hospital on Thursday, August 18, 2016. He was born August 29, 1939.

Survived by his wife, Claire Ann Brotherton; two daughters, Kelle (Dean) Carson and Michelle Thomas; four grandsons, Joe (Samantha) Brotherton, Zane (Viviane) Rosser, Shay Rosser, and Layne Brotherton; one granddaughter, Marisa Carson; five great grandchildren, Jack and Jace Brotherton, Adrian and Enzo Rosser (due in December), and Hunter Duncan; two brothers, Walter (Sheila) Brotherton and Hallie Brotherton; three sister-in-laws, Cathy (Phillip) Kauffeld, Christine (Jim) Cooper, and Cindy (Joe) Baughman; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth E. and Coral E. Brotherton.

He was a graduate of Milllersport High School in the class of 1957; served four years in the U.S. Navy from December 1959 to December 1963 aboard the U.S.S. Scorpion SSN 589 and was a retired electrician with over 50 years of service with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 683. He enjoyed houseboating on Lake Cumberland, fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. Main St, Baltimore, Ohio 43105 with Pastor Phyllis Fetzer officiating. Interment will follow at the Floral Hills Memory Gardens Mausoleum. Friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
