Kenneth "Kenny" Beatty

Kenneth “Kenny” Gene Beatty 80 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 surrounded by his family at Fairfield Medical Center.

He was veteran of the US Army. Kenney worked for Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. with 40 years of service as head burn off leader. He liked to tinker with things and was an avid collector.

Kenny is survived by his wife of 35 years, Minnie; children, Lisa Beatty of Baltimore, Ohio, Connie Beatty and Doug Beatty both of Lancaster, Ohio; grandson, Cori Beatty of Baltimore, Ohio; step-children, Allen Ray (Brenda Culbertson) Spires and Jeffrey Earl Spires all of Lancaster, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Amy Jo Smith, Chip Smith, Tony Balthaser, Paul Raymond Smith, and Katelynn Spires; brother, Dennis Beatty of Lancaster, Ohio; sister, Pat Shafer of Lancaster, Ohio; special friends, Alberta Casto and Diane Bush both of Lancaster, Ohio, Christina Liedel of Baltimore, Ohio and Jody DeLong of Lancaster, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and Beatrice Beatty, brother, Eddie Beatty, and step-daughter, Rita Spires.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMB US ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Pastor Tom Gill officiating. Caring Cremation® to follow. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p. m. at the funeral home. The Steel Workers Local Union #561 will have a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
