Kathy (Standifer) Wallen

Kathy Wallen, age 70, of New Straitsville, Ohio passed away on April 13, 2022 at Fairfield Medical Center, surrounded by her family. She was born November 6, 1951, in Magoffin County, Kentucky. Her favorite moments were time spent with family. She loved her family with her entire heart and she was loved by all who knew her. She was a lover of animals, especially her dogs Sassy and Buckshot and her bird Freddy, and her kids’ and grandkids’ pets.

She is survived by her husband, Roger, her children, Yolanda Kaye & Gregory Fletcher, Jeffrey & Shawna Fraley, and Sabrina & Brian Griffith, her sister, Phyllis Goble, her brother, Moses Standifer, Jr, her grandchildren, Layne & Katie Fraley, Taylor McHenry & Harley King, Kaetlyn & Michael Wengerd, Austene Hurrell & Tommy Rainey, Thomas Nathaniel Fraley & Ali LeRoy, Brieanna Hurrell, Randa Fletcher, Gracie Fraley, and Connor Fraley, and great-grandchildren, Brixston Fraley, Kase Fraley, and Easton Wengerd, as well as many nieces and nephews and close family friends.

She is preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Gussler, brother, Gary Standifer, brother-in-law, Buddy Goble, and nephew Gary Standifer, Jr.

As per her wishes, Kathy will be cremated at Frank E. Smith Funeral Home in Lancaster, Ohio. The family will hold a Celebration of Life that will occur at a later date.
