Hooper
Katharina M. E. Hooper 91 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at her residence.
She was a World War II US Army nurse and interpreter. She was a member of Fairfield Christian Church, 40 years with the Fairfield County Republican Party, Republican Executive Committee, Republican Club volunteer, entered into the Senior Citizens Hall of Fame, and was a member of the Ohio National Rifle Association. Katharina was past President of the Lincoln Club, Republican Womens Club for over 20 years, Red Cross, 1985 Republican of the Year, and National Federation of Republican Women, Washington, D.C.
She is survived by her son, Karlheinz E. Hooper of Lancaster, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Hooper, parents, Karl and Elizabeth Becker and brother, Albert Becker.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fairfield Christian Church with Pastor Mark Barbee officiating. Friends may visit 1 hour prior the service at the church. Caring Cremation has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCATER, OHIO 43130. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio at a later date.
