Karl Frederick Johnson

Karl Frederick Johnson, age 74 of Millersport, died Friday, March 25th, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.  He was born in Columbus on Aug, 14, 1947 to the late Elizabeth Jane and Donald Johnson.  He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam.  He was a truck driver who retired after 27 years from ABF Freight.  He was a member of VFW post 1388 and the Thornville Amvets. He enjoyed relaxing during retirement and loved spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his daughter, Jacquie Johnson; son, Dan (Sharon) Johnson; grandchildren, Markus (Emma) Johnson,  Dannielle (Thomas) Hawkins, Ashleigh (Kyle) Karshner, Breanna (Ryan) Shepherd, and Klinton Johnson; great-grandchildren, Lukas, Harper, and Kinslee Johnson, Noah and Silas Cain, Aubern Hawkins, and son to be Abigail Shepherd.
Karl was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Hope Ann Johnson; parents; baby boy Karl Frederick Johnson Jr.; and sister, Donna Claire Colvin.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday March 31st  at 2PM at the Johnson Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St. Baltimore, OH 43105. Military honors will follow the service at the Millersport Cemetery with burial to follow.  Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service on Thursday from 12PM until 2PM at the funeral home.  Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com.
