Karen Kuhn

Karen Sue (Hunt) Kuhn, age 67, of Fairfield, Ohio passed unexpectedly on Friday, September 5, 2014, while on vacation in Rhode Island.

Born December 23, 1946, in Lancaster, Ohio, the daughter of Mary and the late Russell Hunt of Lancaster. Karen graduated from Amanda Clearcreek High School in 1965 and graduated from Ohio University with a degree in journalism.

Karen started her public relations career with Whirlpool Corporation and later worked at Mercy Hospital in Fairfield, Ohio and at Graceworks in Centerville, Ohio. She was very active at Augsburg Lutheran Church in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a life-long member of Altrusa Club. Karen gave of herself 24-7, wherever there was a need.

Karen is survived by her companion, Roy Hasenjaeger; mother, Mary Hunt; brother, Randy (Rita) Hunt; brother-in-law, Alan (Kathy) Kuhn; nephews, Mark and Ryan Hunt; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, David Kuhn; and father, Russell Hunt.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Lancaster. Friends may visit from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday and Friday at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Augsburg Lutheran Church, 11676 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231.

Donations may be made in memory of Karen to Augsburg Lutheran Church.
