Karen M. Knutson Denius 76 of Carroll, Ohio passed away on Friday, November 22, 2014 at the Pickering House.
She was a retired school librarian for Groveport Madison School District and a member of Shalom united Methodist Church, charter member of the Good Shepherd Church in Columbus, Ohio, Retired State Teachers, and Buckeye Packards Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Van) Gillam of Carroll, Ohio; son, Jeffrey (Dawn Braskett) Denius of Ft. Knox, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jessica Marie and Alexandra Nicole; sister, Joanne (Bruce) Gerhold of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; niece, Karen and nephew, Rick.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Denius died January 29, 2014, parents, Elmer and Blanche Knutson, and brother, Donald Knutson.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 28, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Shalom United Methodist Church with Rev. Barbara Wood Salyers officiating. Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Burial will be held in Friends Cemetery, Quaker City, Ohio at a later date. Friends may visit Friday 2 hours prior the service at the church.
