Julie L. Hatzer

Lancaster - Julie Lynn Birkhimer Hatzer, 54, died on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the Pickering House.

She was born February 15, 1971, in Columbus Ohio where she was raised in the Southend. 1989 graduate from Father Wehrle High School. She met the love of her life, Tim, in 1993 and they married August 26, 1995. Julie was a loving mother to her two boys and Mammaw to 7 beautiful grandbabies.

Live each day to the fullest, and spend that quality time with family and loved ones. Julie loved the beach, and her family so very much. She fought to the very end.

She leaves behind to mourn, her loving and very supportive husband Tim; sons Ryan (Kristena) Hatzer, Jordan (Amethyst) Hatzer; grandbabies Cloe, Sophia, Eastyn, Lyric, River, Gwendolyn, and Scarlett; brother in law Jeff (Lori) Hatzer; her very close cousin/sister Teresa Mathias; nephews Colin (Jessica) Householder and Kyle; niece Ashley Householder; and great nephew Belin; best friends Uvette Gibson Barnett and Jodi Butsko; and special family friend Tauwanta Corns. As well as her fur babies that she loved so much.

Julie is preceded in death by her loving mother Barbara Birkhimer; two close aunts Cheryl Lozier and Carlotta Mathias; and grandmothers Helen Birkhimer and Virginia Lozier.

A funeral service will be held Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, OH 43130, 7:00 PM. Calling hours will be held 3 hours prior from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Caring Cremation® will follow.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the Lancaster Eagles,1936 E. Main St, Lancaster, OH 43130, beginning at 1:00 PM.
