Julia “Annie” Gray, 81, of Lancaster and formerly of Zanesville, passed away on January 5, 2025 at her residence. She was born to the late Oran and Lenora Chappelear on April 5, 1943 in Roseville, OH.
Annie was funny, ornery, and loved by many. Those fortunate enough to know Annie will remember her not just for her delightful wit, but also for her ornery charm that could light up the room.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (James) Morse; grandsons, Blake Smith and Eric Morse; sister, Emma Lou (Butch) Gadd; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gray; siblings, Leonard, Rosetta, Gene, Opal, Ella, Alice, Evelyn, and Gloria; and her parents.
Caring Cremation has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME.
At Annie’s request no services will be held, but feel free to reminisce over a beer with her daughter, Tammy.
