Judy Sheidler

JUDY JOANN (FORD) SHEIDLER of Lancaster, Ohio passed from all earthly suffering after a battle with cancer on Monday December 12, 2011 at her residence. She fought a courageous fight against this vicious disease.

Judy worked in the medical field for different physicians in Lancaster and was Secretary of the Fairfield Medical Association for many years. Many enjoyed Judy’s Sweet Shoppe (named after her) in Lancaster some years ago. Judy attended the Pilgrim Holiness Church in Lancaster.

She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. David Sheidler; her mother, Lila Ford; her sister, Penny Ford all of Lancaster; a step-son, Jeb (Sarah) Sheidler; and grandson, Andrew of Lima, Ohio. Family, of which some were such a major part of her life: aunt Joann Moon; Linda Moon; Jamie (Mark) Burkholder; Eian, Elijah and Jaylynn Burkholder; Jordan and Jessica Waddell, all of Port Clinton, Ohio; and Melissa Muirhead of Toledo. She also leaves behind other relatives and a host of friends as she loved people. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Dallas C. Ford.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 1:00 pm at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel, 405 North Columbus Street, Lancaster Ohio with Rev. Craig Cessna, Rev. Roger Hatfield and Rev. Deron Fourman officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Rose Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to a charity of choice in Judy’s memory.
