Wilson
On June 10, 2013, the lord took the hand of Judith (Judy) Mae Wilson to lead her into the world beyond ours. She was known and greatly loved for her kindness and gentle ways in life and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Borne to George and Marjorie Purcell in 1940, Judy grew up in Columbus Ohio, graduating from Central High School. She met and married her true love Robert (Bob) Wilson in 1959, celebrating their 54th anniversary this year. She worked for State of Ohio at the Bureau of Employment for 33 years and retired to a quiet life with her family (including her beloved schnauzers) in their home, near Lancaster, Ohio.
Although never admitting it, Judy had an artistic ability and painted a number of beautiful pictures that her family enjoys, and loved to draw with and display the artworks produced by her children and grandchildren. After retirement Bob & Judy often travelled in their RV to visit new places and family and to spend the winters in warmer climates. A modest and gracious person, her greatest joys came from being around her family and snuggling up with a good book and her little furry friend.
Judy was preceded in death by her father and mother, George and Marjorie Purcell. She is survived by her husband Bob and her three children - Randy Wilson (Kelly), Doug Wilson (Caven) and Vicki Wilson (Bob); Brother Bill (Beverly); Grandchildren Ashley (Jason), Shane, Zakkery and Sammy; Great Grandchildren Cash and Cane; Step Grandchildren Felicia and Deahna; and many dearly loved nieces & nephews.
We little knew that morning that
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
you did not go alone;
for part of us went with you
the day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
your love is still our guide,
and though we cannot see you,
you are always by our side.
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one,
the chain will link again.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Rev.
