Judith A. Trout, 82 of Lancaster, formerly of the Crooksville community, passed on July 17, 2024. She was born on May 10,1942, in Crooksville, OH. She led a fulfilling life of love and laughter.
Judy was dedicated to her job as a secretary in the Crooksville School System for 21 years. Her commitment to her profession and her family are truly admirable.
Judy will be remembered for her passion for collecting things, shopping for the perfect colorful outfit and shoes plus trips to DQ for a hot fudge sundae or an Oreo Blizzard. She shared many adventures alongside Merle, her loving husband of 60 years, who drove during the hunt and thrill of discovering new treasures.
Judy's smile and welcoming nature showed her fondness of people. She never met a stranger and loved to chat. Her fondness for gatherings showcased her deep care for her close family. In her free time she enjoyed trips to the beach and cherished the companionship of her beloved beagle Max..
Amongst Judy's proudest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren, she adored them beyond measure. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Merle Trout; daughters, Julie (Mark) Neff and Joan (Chris) Dillinger; grandchildren, Alli Dillinger, Chloe Dillinger, and Ben Neff; sister, Janet Pompei; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mildred Grube Wilson and brother, Joseph Wilson.
Caring Cremation has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Judy's name to a charity of your choice.
