Judith M. Kauffman

Judith M. Kauffman, 80, a lifelong resident of Baltimore, Ohio, passed away on March 29, 2025, after a long battle with dementia. She was born on March 18, 1945 to the late Francis and Lillian Howell, she was a 1963 graduate of Liberty Union-Thurston High School.

She is survived by her children, Michael Todd Lehman and Joni L. Fornshell (Jeff), grandchildren, Lindsay Clemente (Joe) and Matthew Cartt. Great-children, Leah, Robbie, Carter and Jaxon and Sister-in-law, Sherry Howell. Neice, Tiffany Schnorf (Matt), Nephews, Brian Howell (Marilyn), Duane Howell (Cindy), Danny Howell (Tori).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Henry K. Kauffman. They shared a passion for travel and spent their retirement years traveling the US in their motorhome. She enjoyed cooking and gardening and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was a member of the Baltimore United Methodist Church.

She was also preceded in death by parents and her brothers, Larry Howell and Danny Howell, both of Baltimore.

They family would like to thank Ohio’s Hospice team for their dedicated and loving care and support during this difficult time.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, Ohio 43105 with Rev. Alyce Hardin-Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Basil Memorial Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio. Friends may visit from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Thursday.
