Juanita Allen Brooks, 97, of Malta, Ohio and formerly of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, December 13, 2018. She was born on October 12, 1921, in Nicholas County, West Virginia to the late Allen and Tishie Talbert. She married her husband, Darnell Brooks, in September, 1941, and Darnell passed away in February, 1998.
Juanita is survived by her daughters, Linda (Roy) Bankes and Tami Rodu; grandchildren, Kimberly (Mike) Laws and Tahsa (Will) Sharp; great grandchildren, Layne McKinley, Brooks McKinley, Molly McKinley, Luke Sharp, Noah Sharp, and Erica Sharp; sister, Virginia Whited; and brother, Arlie Fulks.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; grandson, Eric Allen Bankes; sister, Wanda Martin; and brothers, Willard Talbert, Orlan Fulks, and Charles Fulks.
Juanita worked for Lancaster City Schools as a cook in the 1970’s and 1980’s. She was a lady of strong Christian Faith who read her Bible daily and deeply loved her family.

Juanita requested private services and burial will be with her husband, Darnell in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Lancaster.
