Josephine Williams

Josephine “Jo” Rosella Williams, 89, of Lancaster, OH passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015. Jo was born in Wayne County, Ohio on May 24, 1926 to the late Harry and Minnie Ogden. She met her husband, Harold V. “Abey” Williams, in Wooster, OH and they were married in 1949. Jo was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family and her family was blessed to have her and her love in their lives.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Ruthie Williams; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Steve Riley, all of Lancaster; 5 grandchildren, Michael (Andrea) Williams, Drew (Abby) Williams, Luke Williams, Jason Booth, and Kelly (Nate) Hater; and great-grandchildren, Sophia and Axton Williams, Vera Williams, and Jaxon Hater. Also surviving are brother Tom (Pat) Ogden, and sisters-in-law, Annabelle and Helen Ogden, all of Wooster and sister Alice Mae Andrews, FL, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Abey” Williams; her parents; brothers, Glenn, John, and Bob Ogden; and sister-in-law Helen Ogden.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Lancaster, with the Rev. Dr. Brian Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Lancaster. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church at 163 E.
