Joseph M. Pierce

Joseph M. Pierce 43 of Thornville, Ohio passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at the Pickering House.

He was retired from the Millersport Volunteer Fire Department with 16 years of service and was a 911 dispatcher for Licking County with 20 years of service.

Joseph liked running, hiking, fishing, camping and the great outdoors.  He also enjoyed his canine companion, JoJo.

He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Amy Pierce; brothers, Floyd “Dan” (Kimberly Austin) Pierce, Jr. of Lancaster, Ohio and Matthew (Pamela Kasler) Pierce of Baltimore, Ohio; nieces, Abigail and Alexis and Taylor (Kyle) Ranegar; nephews, Haiden and Daniel; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Verna and Dan Oxley of Pataskala, Ohio and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Allen and Kim Oxley of Thornville, Ohio.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd D. and Donna A. Pierce, Sr.

Caring Cremation® is being handled by the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, BALTIMORE, OHIO.
