Joseph A. Cox

Joseph A. Cox passed away peacefully at home with family on November 12, 2024, in Lancaster, Ohio, at the age of 63. Born in Columbus, Ohio, October 29, 1961. 

Joe is survived by his sister, Sally Piper; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and well-loved friends who were like family to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Joseph Cox and Anna May Morgan; his brothers, Pat and Tommy Cox; his sister, Carla Lewis; and his grandparents, Lawrence and Edna Preston.

 Joe was proud of his 48 years in Heating & Cooling, a trade he learned from his father. Most of his customers soon became lifelong friends. Joe was an outdoorsman and forager. His love for cooking was well known among his friends and family, as he often cooked for them. Joe also had a love for music, particularly classic rock, and enjoyed playing the guitar.

Per Joe's wishes, Caring Cremation® will take place at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Lancaster, Ohio. 

There will be a celebration of life on Sunday November 24th 3:00-7:00 at Amvets Post 1985, 700 S. Maple St. Lancaster.
