Jonathan Bowers

September 14, 1967 — June 5, 2017

Jonathan Wesley Bowers, age 49, left us on Monday, June 5, due to a heart attack. From his birth in September 14, 1967 to his death on Monday he has touched and inspired many lives through his business, family, and the values he held.

He was born in Columbus at Grant Medical Center to Dale and Rasma Bowers and was the youngest of two. Jonathan was the CEO of the Licking Area Computer Association but always made time for his family. He is a member of Peace United Methodist Church in Pickerington. He is also a member of the Newark Rotary Club and Baltimore Masonic Lodge. Some of his hobbies include spending time with family, exercising, and helping those in need. Jonathan has touched and inspired many lives all over the world through his travels and business. Even in death he chose to give life to another through organ donation.

He is survived by his best friend and wife of 24 years, Yasuko; son, Joshua; daughter, Sonia; mother, Rasma; father, Dale; and nephews, Janson and Jared. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Friday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Baltimore with Pastor Bill Lyle officiating. Burial will follow in Union Evangelical Cemetery, Baltimore. Family and friends may visit Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home, with a Masonic Service to follow at 8 pm and 2 hours prior to the service on Friday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The Salvation Army.
