Jonas E. Joe Morgan, 77, of Lancaster, passed away at his home on Monday, August 18, 2014.
Joe Morgan was a simple man who enjoyed everything that life had to offer. There were certain treasures and experiences in his journey of life that he enjoyed the most; his family, hunting, fishing, gardening, and enjoying any sports contest that was available to watch. Joe was admired and respected by everyone he encountered and positively impacted those around him. He took pride in everything in his life. He left no loose ends or anything unfinished. When he passed, there was no doubt that there was nothing he held back and no regrets. When his time came, there was no looking back; with that in mind, he will rest in peace.
Joe was a 1954 graduate of Amanda High School. He went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. Joe worked for Pan American World Airways, Inc. and for the Anchor Hocking Company. He was a member of the American Legion, Pine Lake Estates, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Joe is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Peter) Alonso, Pam Taylor, Julie (David) Hux, and Jennifer Morgan; spouse of 25 years and mother of his children, June Morgan; grandchildren, Peter, Alex, Jonas, David, Cora, Madelyn, and Jillian; siblings, James Brigg (Sophie) Morgan, Patricia Thress, and Kay Bowersock; and special family members, Blaine Thress, Evelyn Johnson, Marla Morgan, and Amber Radcliffe Ailstock.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Irene Morgan; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Marlene Morgan, Jack and Wanda Morgan, and John and Norma Morgan.
