John Swinehart

November 5, 1942 — October 14, 2018

John W. Swinehart, 75, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018.

John worked for many years at Higbie Manufacturing in New Lexington. He was past president of the Lancaster Fraternal Order of the Eagles -- Forest Rose Aerie No. 2120.

John is survived by his wife, Diana Emmert Swinehart; daughters, Lisa (Dave) Bennion and Christy (Rod) Gutridge; step children, Daphne Miller, Douglas (Toni) Keister, Wendy Painter, and Matthew Keister; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Christine Swinehart; brother, Ronald Swinehart; and beloved dog, Precious.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of John to FairHoPe Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association.
