John Jack W. Sweeney, 82, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012. Born December 4th, 1929, to John and Florence Sweeney. Served in the U.S. Army. Retired from Canteen Vending Co., and was the former owner of SWEENEYS PUB. Member of the American Legion Post #11 and was a former Commander of American Legion Post # 180 in Louisville, Kentucky.
Jack is survived by his wife, Catherine Sweeney; son, John W. (Pamela) Sweeney, Jr. of Lancaster; daughters, Deborah (Don) Banta of Munds Park, Arizona, Gail (David) DeDominico of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, and Donna (Mark) Shouldis of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Ginny Sweeney of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sandra Bertoch; and brother, Bob Sweeney.

A Caring Cremation has taken place with the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home and a Celebration of Jacks life, for friends and family, will take place Saturday, September 29th from 1-4 PM at SWEENEYS PUB in Lancaster.
Memorial gifts may be made in Jacks name to the Fairfield Medical Center Foundation, 401 N. Ewing St, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
