John A.W. Radebaugh, Jr., 91, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at
Brookdale of Finneytown.
John was a 1942 graduate of Lancaster High School and 1949 graduate of Dennison University.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. John worked for Anchor Hocking Glass
Company and for the Fairfield County Engineer. He also served as Vice Chairman of the Fairfield
County Republican Party Executive Committee and was Republican of the year in 1981.
John is survived by his daughters, Elisabeth R. Milbaugh of Lancaster and Amy (Brad) Coop of
Cincinnati; son, Samuel T. Radebaugh of Lancaster; grandchildren, Carolyn L. Milbaugh, Jacob
M. Milbaugh, and Payton G. Coop; niece, Ellen Brown; and nephews, William F. Brown, Jr. and
Steven W. Brown.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Melcha T. Radebaugh; son, John A.W. Radebaugh III;
parents, Arthur W. and Louise (DeLay) Radebaugh; and sister and brother-in-law, Judith and
William F. Brown, Sr.
Funeral service will be held at 1:30 Monday at the Rising Shelter in Rising Park, Lancaster with
Reverend Dr. Brian Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster with Veterans rites by the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail. Friends may visit from 1:00 to 5:00 PM
Sunday at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster.
