John “Jack” McGuire84 of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Pickering House.
He was born on March 24, 1931 to late Margaret and Terrance McGuire in Johnstown, New York.
He was a Korean Conflict veteran serving in the US Army stationed in Japan. Jack graduated from Bentley College in Boston, MA. and had a distinguished career with Mohasco Industries in Amsterdam, NY, Basic Witz Furniture in Waynesboro, Va., Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. in Lancaster OH and Towle Silversmiths in Newburyport, MA.
He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, loved golfing, fishing, hunting and time with his family.
John is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia, sons, John (Cathy) McGuire and Michael (Denise) McGuire; daughters, Linda McGuire and Maureen McGuire; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and brother, Donald (Joyce) McGuire. He was preceded in death by his precious son, David McGuire and parents.
