John A. Hyde

John A Hyde, Rushville, 81 passed away March 15, 2022, at Pickering House, Lancaster after a 9-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was born May 11,1940, to Laurence and Ethel Hyde, Rushville, OH. In 1958 He graduated from Rushville Union High School.

His passion was as a pilot sharing ownership in 2 small planes, also he volunteered as a firefighter with the Richland Township Fire Department for 30 years. He worked in main frame computers at Anchor Hocking for 25 years and Huntington Bank, Easton for 15 years.

He is survived by his wife Paula of 27 years and children, Doug (Susie) Hyde and Tamara Hyde (Shayne) Gilliam, grandchildren, Alec Gilliam and Katie Hyde. Also

surviving are Barbara Bode, Lorrie Schindler, Jon Bode, MD and Alison Britt. Taylor and Kendall Sheehan, Erin, Kyle and Jake Schindler, Hannah, Hayley, Natalie,

Sophie and Luke Bode, Ethan, Ellis Jane and Dylan Britt, brother and sister in-law, Roger and Lynda Peters.

He is predeceased by his parents and sisters, Barbara Bellville and Myrna Core.

An opportunity to say goodbye to John will be Friday, March 18th from 3-5 PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster. A private interment at Rushville Pleasant Hill Cemetery is planned in the future.
