John L Anderson

John L. Anderson, 79, of Lancaster, Ohio, passed away at the Fairhope Hospice Pickering House on Thursday, February 27, 2025. He was born to the late John E. and Elsie (Brown) Anderson on Friday, January 18, 1946.

John served in the United States Army as Military Police. His favorite activity was sitting on his front porch, smoking a pipe, and watching his neighbors. He also loved going to IHOP for breakfast and being around his family.

John is survived by his children, Jon (Angie) Anderson, Tony Anderson, Kevin (Laurie) Anderson, and Kimberly (Jason) Cooper; grandchildren, Cody (Bethany), Adam, JJ (Melissa), Nic, Marissa, Scott, Matthew, Kirsten (Tyler) Eskins, Kaitlin (Kyle) King, Tyler and Camden Cooper; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Pam Lawson (Leslie); nieces and nephews, Kelly (Matt) Saunders, Mike (Michelle) Lawson, Holly Nemeth, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elsie Anderson, and granddaughter, Tara Lynn Anderson.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, at noon at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
