Joanne Tolliver

Barbara Jo-Ann Tolliver, age 74 of Pleasantville, went home to be with her lord on June 6th, 2011, surrounded by her loved ones at the Fairfield Medical Center. She was a member of the Oakthorp Church and retired from American Electric Power. She loved spending time with her family and friends, writing poetry, and enjoyed camping.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Freddie F. Tolliver of Pleasantville; daughters, Terri (Mark) Ervin of Reynoldsburg; Carol (Glen) Starner of Lancaster; son, Troy (Sue) Tolliver of Thornville; grandchildren, Matthew (Marcy) Brown of Lancaster, Kelly Brown of Reynoldsburg, Josh Tolliver of Thornville, Ali and Mikayla Starner of Lancaster; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Jenna, and Molly Brown; sisters, Donna Selby of Mt. Vernon, Patty (Lester) Hammond of Newark several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Gladys Melick; brothers, Infant, Loren Gail, Charles, and Gerald Melick; and sister, Doris Mentis.
A service will take place on Friday, at 10:30 AM at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home in Baltimore. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memory Garden. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8PM and one hour prior to the service.
