Joan Miller

Joan K. Miller, age 75 of Baltimore, formerly of Millersport passed away at her residence on Thursday February 13th, 2014. Joan was born in Huntington, WV on January 5th, 1939 to her parents, Elliott and Helena Bias Scarberry. Joan was retired from Whetstone Medical Clinic and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Terri (Walter) Gabriel of Baltimore, Scott (Edna) Miller of Blacklick, and Kelly (Jed) Utsinger of Baltimore; grandchildren, Josh (Aubree), Dustin, Zachary, and Kristin Gabriel, Heather Leigh Miller, Ian Raymo, and Kaylee Utsinger; great grandsons, Kai Gabriel and Kalvin Barker; brothers, Roger (Kathy) and Robert (Debbie) Scarberry; sister-in-law, Josephine Snider; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Violet Stephens.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Miller, and parents.
A service will take place at 4PM Saturday at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME in Baltimore, officiated by Pastor Len Martin. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 2PM until the time of service at the funeral home. Caring Cremation® will follow the service and interment will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery.
