Jimmy Long

Jimmy Long 57 of Columbus, Ohio formerly of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.

He had worked for Fairfield Industries and later for Goodwill of Franklin County.  He attended Sugar Grove United Methodist Church.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Pat Moss of Junction City, Ohio; father and step-mother, James and Mary Long of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; brothers, Patrick Long of Junction City, Ohio and Bob (Cheri) Long of Sugar Grove, Ohio; sisters, Christina (Mark) Gorsuch of Johnstown, Ohio and Elizabeth (Robert) Shriner of Junction City, Ohio and many nieces and nephews along with his friends at Absolute Care.

He is preceded in death by his step-father, Richard Moss and uncle, David Palmer.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Lancaster Vineyard Church, 431 Whiley Rd. SW, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 with Pastor Joel Seymour officiating.  Family and friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service at the church then there will be a gathering following the service.  If you wish to bring a covered dish or desert your welcome to do that. The family suggests that you wear OSU apparel and Michigan apparel is ok too.  Caring Cremation® has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMARORY, 405 N.
