Jim La Pointe died at home on Wednesday, May 30, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Gabriella, daughters, Paulette and Brenda; son, Kris and step-daughter, Mia; several grandchildren. Also survived by his first wife, Norma. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith and grandson, Nicholas. Jim loved golf, daylilies and his dogs. A special thanks to Patrick and FairHoPe Hospice for their thoughtful care of him. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 4, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130 with Chaplain Linda Ward officiating. Friends may visit 1 hour prior the service at the funeral home on Monday.
