Jim Jewett, 76 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Pickering House.
He was born in Utica, Ohio to the late S. Dwight and Ethel Jewett. He attended Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa and retired after 36 years, as co-owner of Health Care Consultants.
Jim was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, former longtime member of the Lancaster Country Club, Symposiarchs, Delta Sigma Phi. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports and he was an avid Buckeye and Cleveland Browns fan. In his free time, he enjoyed vacationing, golf with friends and reading his newspapers. He enjoyed playing bridge with his wife and breakfast with his retired buddies.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lee; daughters, Lori (Adrian) Breen of Jackson, Missouri and Tracy (Chris) Henwood of Appleton, Wisconsin; grandchildren, A. Taylor (Whitney) Breen, Shannon (Chad) Bushley, Evan Henwood, Alex Henwood, and Quin Henwood and great grandchild, A. Brooks Breen.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Steve Garstad and Dr. Richard Ellsworth officiating. Caring Cremation® is being handled by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Friends may visit Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Inurnment will be held in Burlington Twp. Cemetery at a later date.
