Jerry Lee Saunders

Jerry “Lee” Saunders, 56 of Pleasantville, Ohio passed away Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at his residence.

He was an over the road truck driver for 34 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Lancaster, enjoyed working on vehicles and always wanted to have a good time.

Lee is survived by his wife of 34 years, Teresa; children, Leann Saunders of Georgia, Micheal Saunders of Ohio, Troy Saunders of Georgia and Valerie Saunders of Ohio; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild; siblings, Stephanie Saunders of South Dakota, Jennifer L. (Kennon) Swaim of Georgia, Christopher A. (Pam) Saunders of West Virginia, Calista A. Byrns of Ohio, Steven A. (Nancy) Saunders of Georgia and Robyn L. Saunders of Ohio; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Rosetta (Delong) Saunders, nephews, Timothy Matthew Cheeks and Timothy Saunders, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cameron Byrns, Paul Cheeks, Lynda and Charles Rines, Lillian and Charles Schultz and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Roy and Ruby White.

A funeral service will be held Monday, December 28, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 with Glen Keller officiating. Burial will follow in Tschopp Cemetery. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday. In accordance with state mandates, COVID protocols including facial coverings and social distancing will be followed.
