Jerry Ackison

Jerry Ackison, age 66, of Thurston, died February 1st, 2016 at Crestview Nursing Home. He was born on May 12, 1949 to the late Edwin and Gay Ackison in Hocking County. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends arou nd Thurston. Jerry will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his sisters, Patsy (Walter) Peters of Lincoln Park, MI, Renda (Dave) Cox of Columbus, and Mary (Ralph) Talbert of Baltimore; nine nieces and nephews; cousins; and so many special friends from Thurston.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Otis Ackison; and sister, Dixie Ackison.

A service will take place on Friday at noon at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, officiated by Rev. Branson Hawks. A committal service will take place at 2PM at Star Cemetery in Hocking County off Rt 328 on O’neil Rd. Family and friends may visit with the family from 10AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday. Online condolences can be made at www.funeralhome.com.
