Jeri R. Shepard Sexton, 83, a cherished soul who graced this earth with her warmth and unwavering spirit, departed peacefully on February 11, 2025, at Kobacker Hospice House in Columbus, Ohio. Born on January 26, 1942, in Lancaster, Ohio, Jeri embraced life with a rare vibrancy, bringing joy and love to those privileged to know her.

Her professional journey was marked by dedication and success; Jeri retired from Ross Labs, where she adeptly managed hospital supplies, previously demonstrating her keen acumen at Abbott Labs and Nissan. Her career was not just a testament to her professional capabilities but reflected her innate desire to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

Beyond her career, Jeri was also a member of the Gender Road Christian Church where she enjoyed the sermons and being with like minded individuals. Her life was enriched by the profound connections she cultivated with family and friends. Her loving husband, Robert Sexton, who she married on October 10, 1987, stood by her side as a steadfast partner through all of life’s joys. Together, they forged a bond that many admired and found inspiration in. Jeri was a good mother to her children: Mark (Margie) Hendrickson, Vicki (Judge) Burns, and Julie LeMaster, whose lives she shaped with encouragement. She embraced her role as a stepmother to Robert (Nancy) Sexton, Vicki (Doug) Justice, and Robin Francisco, extending her love and warmth to each one with open arms.

Jeri's legacy continues through her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of her gentle spirit forward into the world. Her sibling, Lee (Gerald) Carletti, also survives her, holding close the cherished memories they shared.

In her personal life, Jeri found immense joy in spending time with her family and friends, reveling in the simple pleasures of life, and creating lasting memories that would echo through the years. Her laughter, wisdom, and boundless love will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all who were touched by her light.

Along with the warmth of her loving family, Jeri is mourned by the memories of her late parents, James and Naomi Strohl Shepard, and her sister, Lana Oates, who welcomed her into the eternal embrace of rest. Jeri R. Shepard Sexton leaves behind a beautiful tapestry of love and cherished connections, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she held dear for generations to come.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life with a visitation at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, Ohio, starting on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service commemorating her incredible journey starting at 12:00 PM, officiated by Pastor John Romig.
