Jeffry David Hutchison

Jeffry David Hutchison, age 80 of Pleasantville, went to be with his Lord on Sept. 14th, 2023. He was born in Texas City, TX on Jan 21, 1943. He was an amazing man who was a horse trainer for 26 years at Tudoc Farm, a member of the H.B.P.A. and retired from the Ohio State Racing Commission.  He attended Trinity United Church of Christ and he enjoyed fishing, watching the Reds, and was a great gardener.  His amazing personality and love for life and family will always be fondly remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Peggy Hutchison; children, Jill (Joe) Erb, Lance (Michelle Thompson) Hutchison; grandchildren, Lindsey (Anthony) Unger, Amanda (Brent) Erb, Sara Jo (Justin) Hershberger, Landon (Taylor) Hutchison, great grandchildren, Kipley and Landry Unger, Abby, Julien, Maelee, and Josiah Erb, Kentlee, Jordyn, and Jessa Hershberger; sisters, Jayne(Jack) Mohler, Judy (Pork) Vanatta, Jeryl (Bob) Donaldson, Jackie (David) Stephenson, and Jenice (John) Snyder; bro-in-law, Jeff Wonder; sister-in-law, Melonie Furnish; close friend of the family, Susie Rosario; and faithful four legged friend, Bessie.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Leone Hutchison; sister, Jean Ann Wonder, brother-in-law, Terry Furnish, parent-in-laws, Fred and Joan Hannan.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses and assistants of the FMC fourth floor, “You were all great.”

Family and friends may visit Tuesday, from 5PM until 8PM at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore. A funeral service officiated by Rev. Jill Dunlap and Brent Erb will take place on Wednesday at 11AM at the funeral home.
