Rupp
Jeffrey Michael Rupp, 51 of Baltimore, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Mount Carmel East Hospital.
He was born on July 26, 1963 in Carbondale, Pennsylvania. He was the second child born to Anthony Francis Rupp and Rita Irene Para Rupp. He graduated from Carbondale Area High School in 1981 and The Pennsylvania State University in 1985 with a degree in Accounting. It was at Penn State that he met the love of his life, Linda Virginia Appleyard. He and Linda were married on April 25, 1987 in Hollidaysburg Pennsylvania.
Jeff was an avid fan of everything Penn State, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, and the Cleveland Indians. He was employed by the Ohio Department of Insurance since November 1990, his last years as the Assistant Director of the Office of Risk Assessment. He was extremely proud of the team that he helped to build there.
He is survived by his parents and his three daughters, Amanda Marie Rupp, 25, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Katrina Lynne Rupp, 24, of Simpson, Pennsylvania, and Samantha Virginia Rupp, 22, of Baltimore, Ohio, his feline companion, Church, his brothers Kevin (Kathy) Rupp of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bryan (Clarrie) Rupp of Mayfield, Pennsylvania, Doug (Leslie) Rupp of Glenside, Pennsylvania, sisters Leslie (Bob) Fortuner of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, Melissa (Danny) Demianovich, of Carbondale, Pennsylvania, and father-in-law William Carney of Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. Jeff was also the favorite uncle of all his nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his wife, Linda, an infant brother, and mother-in-law, Edna Carney.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 10:00 am at Seton Parish Church in Pickerington, Ohio with Fr. James Klima as celebrant. Burial to follow in Union Evangelical Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105 and a vigil service will be held on Wednesday at 7:30 pm at the funeral home.
