Jeffery Paul Watson, 64, of Millersport passed away with family by his side at Fairfield Medical Center on Thursday, January 19, 2022.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Jackie. Sons, Jared (Cassie) Watson and Jayce (Tyler) Post-Watson. Sisters, Patricia Watson and Sally Watson. His pride and joys, his grandchildren Kenzi, Kingzton, and Kanon Watson. Many nieces and nephews, a lot of friends, families, and co-workers.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Paul Fredrick Watson and his mother, Margaret Louise Watson.
Jeff was a distinguished businessman and a dedicated family man. He was the co-founder of the Watson Oil Company. Growing up he rode beside his dad in the fuel truck, where they frequented Weidner’s Corner . He rebuilt the Watson Citgo, to revitalize the small town in which Jeff held dear to his heart. He was an icon in the community and never met a stranger. He went on to open the Watson’s Sunoco in Lancaster. After many years of successful business, Jeff took over Weidner’s Corner, bringing the nostalgic feeling he shared with his dad back to life after all those years. Being the successful businessman Jeff was, his real accomplishments in life were not something he could put on paper, his sons and grandchildren. Whether it be motorcycle trips across the country or summers out on Lake Norman, Jeff and Jackie were never short of laughs and love. Jeff enjoyed spending time at the lake in North Carolina, traveling, playing cards, boating, OSU Buckeyes, racing, and spending time at the quarter midget track with his sons and grandchildren.
A funeral service for Jeff will take place on Tuesday at 11AM at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, 207 S. Main St. Baltimore, OH 43105, officiated by Pastor Steve Bush. Burial will follow the service at Millersport Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4PM until 8pm at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made the United Methodist Church of Millersport, 2310 Refugee St. Millersport, OH 43046 and Millersport Covenant Church, PO. Box 365 Millersport, OH 43046.
