Jeanette L. (Gaffin) Walter

Jeanette L. Walter, age 95 of Lancaster passed away at Crestview Nursing Home.  She was born on March 14, 1926 in New York City.  She was a school crossing guard who was also a devout Holy Catholic.  She enjoyed reading the Bible and will greatly be missed.

She is survived by her son, John (Jessica) Walter, her daughter-in-law, Cynthia Walter, grandchildren, Michael Jr Walter, Andrew (Amanda) Walter, Michael Walter, and Joseph Walter; several great grandchildren, Rachel Walter, Nicholas Walter, Mya and Madelyn Walter; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by his son, Michael Walter; siblings, Daniel, Michael, and Samuel Griffin.

A funeral service will take place on Thursday at 3PM at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster. Burial will follow at Hamburg Cemetery.  Family and friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
