Jean McCleery Baker, 95, of Rushville, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Heartland of Fairfield Nursing Center.
Jean was born October 19, 1918 in Hooker, Ohio to Russell and Emma McCleery. She enjoyed her role as wife and mother. She took care of and fed anybody and everybody who walked through her door.
Survived by daughters, Bonnie (Butch) Boystel and Becky Baker all of Lancaster; son, Bill (Nancy) Baker of Rushville; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; niece, Carolyn (Tom) Aucerman; nephew, Tom (Cindy) Baker; and special friends, John and Paula Hyde.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Lewis Wing Baker; brother, Kenneth McCleery; father and mother-in-law, Edward and Eureka Baker; sister-in-law, Grace Ray Moon; and brothers-in-law, Ed Ray, Alan Moon, and George Baker.
To follow Jeans wishes there will be no service or visitation. Caring Cremation has taken place through the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, Lancaster. Private burial will be at West Rushville Cemetery.
