Jason Curtis Sherrick

In loving memory of Jason Curtis Sherrick, who was born on August 1, 1983, in Fort Ord, Seaside, California, and passed away at his residence in Lancaster on April 24, 2025. Jason, a man of great spirit and enthusiasm for life, brought joy to all who knew him.

He had a profound love for the great outdoors, finding solace and passion in activities such as hunting and fishing. Jason was mechanically inclined and thrived on overcoming design challenges, showcasing a mind that was as inventive as it was resourceful. He cherished the moments spent watching the Cincinnati Bengals play football, sharing these experiences with his father and a close circle of friends.

Jason is survived by his beloved parents, Jeff and Debbie Sherrick; his best friend, Jerry (Elizabeth A. VanHorn) Austin; and close companion, Chuck Amnah. He also leaves behind a large family that lovingly supported him throughout his life, including grandparents Joyce Bussart and John and Bridget Sherrick; siblings Scott (Heather) Grensted, Amber (Chris) Zimmerman, Allen, George, Carmen, Denise, Mercedes, Angelica, Faith, Quannie, Tamra Elise (Kaz Leavitt) Wheatley, and Drake Austin Brown. He was adored by his nephews Kuade, Kaysen, Chanler, Gaige, and Ace, as well as his nieces Kira, Kayla (Brad), Paeton, Cadence, and Presley.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lesa Kay (Toney) Brown, alongside his grandparents, Francis Marie Toney, Angelo Toney, and step-grandfather, Duane Bussart.

A visitation honoring Jason’s life will be held on April 29, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frank E Smith located at 405 N Columbus St, Lancaster, OH 43130.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Jason Curtis Sherrick will be remembered for his passion for life, his kindness, and the happiness he brought to those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
