Janet L. Montgomery-Queen

Janet L. Montgomery-Queen, 90, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Fairhope Hospice Pickering House.

Janet was born October 10, 1933, to the late Walter and Hazel (Dusenbery) McKinney. She graduated from Bremen High School in 1951. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and sang in the choir for many years. Janet loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling and helping her late husband, Jesse, with his latest projects.

Janet is survived by her children, Cheryl (States) Montgomery-Titsworth, Jennifer Montgomery-Nash, Joan (Shawn) Montgomery-Evans; grandchildren, Laurie McPherson, Miranda Nash, Jared (Alisa) Strickland, Lindsay (Micah) Lusher, Alison (John) Harvey, Marikate (Justin Sweeney) Evans; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Yasmine, Colton, Amelia, Eden, Josiah, Isaiah, Noah, Miriam, Hope, Aiden, Savannah, Kyah, Nikolai and great-great-grandchild, Alaiyah. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Montgomery; her second husband, Jesse Queen; sisters and brothers, and one great-great-grandchild, Titus. 

A funeral service will take place on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 11:00 am at Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N Columbus Street, Lancaster, Ohio. Friends and family may visit from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow the service at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
