Janet "Jan" L. Parrish

Lancaster - Janet “Jan” L. Parrish, 81, died Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at The Springs at Wyandot Trail.

Jan was born December 29, 1943 to the late George and Wilda (Rainey) Kost. She had a knack for knitting and crocheting. Jan was a part of a group called Chix with Stix, that gathered at Panera Bread to work on fiber crafts together. Jan had beautiful flower beds that she enjoyed tending to. She liked swimming in the pool. Most of all through Jan loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jan is survived by her children Diane Parrish-McGee and Steve (Shena Thomas) Parrish; grandchildren Alana McGee, Adam (Anne) McGee, Nicole (Ryan Kelley) Parrish, Courtney Parrish, and Kylie (Brett) Bentz; great grandchildren Luke McGee, Colton Kelley, Blaire Bentz, and Baylee Bentz; special friends Dianna Russell, Marilyn Hock, Randy and Sally Mace; her beloved dog Annie; as well as many other family members.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Bob Parrish; parents; son-in-law J.J. McGee; brother Albert Kost; and half sister Delores “Jean” Arter.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Frank E. Smith Funeral Home, 405 N. Columbus St. Lancaster, Ohio 43130. Caring Cremation® will follow.
