Jane Steinmetz 84 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Pickering House.
She was a retired Registered Nurse (OB Nurse) from Fairfield Medical Center with 30 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 11 and O. P. E. R. S.
Jane is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Steinmetz; daughters, Tamara (Thomas) Dillon of Lancaster, Ohio, Polly (Joe) Johnson of Arrington, Virginia and Patricia (Christopher) Belcher of Grove City, Ohio; three grandchildren, Scott (Nancy) Dillon, Cheryl (Sean) Thompson and Lindsey (Joel) Garza; four great grandchildren, Saige, Beau, Cienna and Colyn; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Ethel McDonald, brothers, Dale and Gerald McDonald and sisters, Joan Julian and Mary Miller.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Robert McDowell officiating. Caring Cremation has taken place by the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 405 N. COLUMBU ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130. Friends may visit Tuesday from 1-3:00 p.m. at the church parlor.
