James "Jimmy" R. Wilson

James “Jimmy” R. Wilson 75 of Lancaster, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Fairfield Medical Center.

He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Marine Corps. and then retired from the furnace room at Anchor Hocking Glass Corp. with over 30 years of service.

Jimmy was a member of the Local Flint Glass Workers Union, enjoyed watching OSU Football, western movies, cooking out with his family and friends.  He enjoyed going to church, Bible Studies and playing on his laptop.

He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Rebecca M. Wilson; sons, Justin Wilson and Rich (Rachel) Wilson; grandchildren, Sofia and Isabella; step-children, Terry Wion, C.J. Williams, Rose (Richard) Disbennett and Joe Johnson; step-grandchildren, step great grandchildren, sister, Jacqueline Spangler; friend Donnie Marie Wilson and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Wilson.

Funeral service will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 405 N. COLUMBUS ST., LANCASTER, OHIO 43130.  Burial will be held in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio with the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
