James “Jim” Waugh, age 83, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Mt. Carmel Hospital East. He was born October 27, 1937 to the late George and Margaret (Guisinger) Waugh.
Jim was a 1955 graduate of Lancaster High School. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lancaster Charity Newsies, and a 38 year member of the former Lancaster Elks 570. He was in golf and bowling leagues for 54 years. He was in the Ohio National Guard for 7 years. Jim retired from Memac Industries as a plant manager in 2002. He was a big fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians.
Jim is survived by his wife of 59 years, Donna Waugh; Daughter, Christy (John Bobbitt) Clark of Dublin; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Dave Starkey; beloved grandson, Justin Starkey; brother, Donnie Waugh; brother-in-law, Bill (Jo Ann) Creiglow; sister-in-law, Pearl Waugh and Sandy Waugh; many nieces and nephews; and special friend and neighbor, Alyce Giles.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rosemary Creiglow and Norma Shaw; sister-in-law, Sharyn Waugh; brothers, Richard, Harold, and Kenny Waugh; and special friend and neighbor, Dick Giles.
A funeral service will be held at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N. Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130 on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11 AM with Rev. Dr. Brian Jones officiating. Interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery, Lancaster. Calling hours will be on Sunday, August 22, from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
