James "Stumpy" Stump

James E. Stump “Stumpy”, age 58 of Lancaster, died March 30th, 2017 at the Pickering House. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and worked for Cyril Scott. James loved playing golf and always made everything look better, matching, and proper. James was a great friend, who was willing to help anyone, and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Alli (Tommy Good) Kisker, Jaimie Stump, and Alicia (Jay) Kraft; grandchildren, Bailey, Colin, Dakoda, Ella, and Kohen; ; ex wife and good friend, Debbie Stump ;father, Donald (Audrey) Stump; brother, Stephen (Holly)Stump; sister, Ruth (Jesse) Garven; brother-in-law, Donald (Penny) Richards; niece and nephews, Dalton Stump, Timothy (Baylee) Garven, and Rebekah Garven; and best friend and brother, Boo Hanna.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Stump and mother and father-in-law, Kate and Dale Richards.

A funeral service will take place on Monday at 1:30PM at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow at West Rushville Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 12-3PM and two hours prior to the service on Monday. Memorials can be made in his name to either the Pickering House 282 Sells rd.
